Summa Academy Financial Aid Information

Thank you for considering Summa Academy for your student and your family.
We maintain a healthy financial aid program as we are committed to social economic diversity within our student body. We do all we can to work with families who really want to be here. The following process ensures that Summa Academy’s financial aid committee tracks, reviews, and awards aid equitably and efficiently.

The committee will consider only those applications that are complete and filed on time. We urge you to fully disclose your financial situation to avoid delay in reviewing your application. Families with complicated or unusual financial situations may be asked to provide supplemental information or to meet with Amber Kara, Summa Academy Director.

How Decisions Are Made
All decisions related to school tuition will be made by the Scholarship Committee. For 2015-2016, this committee is composed of Ba Luvmour (Headmaster), Amber Kara (Director of Summa Academy), and John Warton (Admissions Officer). Decisions about financial aid are made by the Scholarship Committee after reports have been received from SSS. Decisions will be based on these reports, as well as supplementary information provided by the family, and our assessment of a family’s suitability for the Summa program. Decisions will be made on an ongoing basis. If for any reason your application for financial aid is denied, and your family decides not to enroll due to this factor alone, deposits made to Summa Academy will be returned in full by September 1st, 2015. Note that application fees are non-refundable.
